Björn Dixgård, sångare i Mando Diao, som tog hem musikpriset på tyska GQ-galan för "Man of the year".Hur stora är ni i Tyskland egentligen?- Svårt att mäta, det känns som hela Europa är vår grej. Varför tror du att just ni fick priset? - Det känns jättekul. Vi har turnerat mycket i Tyskland och vår senaste skiva har precis sålt platina där. Bob Geldof ska ha blivit råimpad av ert framträdande på galan.- Ja, det var skitkul och smickrande. Vi gjorde en ganska avskalad version av "Dance with somebody" som han gillade. Blir det nåt framtida samarbete?- Inte just med honom men samarbeten är vi alltid öppna för. Tidigare har vi varit de sura snubbarna på vår kant. Men det vore kul att samarbeta med Pelle Almqvist (Hives). "Dance with somebody" har precis gått om Lady Gaga som den mest spelade låten på radion i Tyskland.- Oj, det visste jag inte. How big are you guys in Germany?- That's hard to say, feels like every part of Europe is our thing.Why do you think you won the award? - It's feels really great. We've been touring a lot in Germany and our latest album has just sold platina there.Bob Geldof was aperently really impressed by your appearance at the GQ awards. - Yes, that was so great and really flattering. It was a stripped-down version of "Dance With Somebody" we did that he liked.Will there maybe be a cooperation of some sort in the future?Well not with him but collaborations are always something we're interested in. In the past we've always been such grumpy guys when it came collaborations. But it would actually be really fun to work with Pelle Almqvist (The Hives).Dance With Somebody" is now above Lady Gaga on the list of the most played song on radio in Germany.- Wow, I didn't know that.
