AQUAVIT

I think I have written about Aquavit before, the Swedish fine dining restaurant in London. Last weekend I had midsummer lunch there with a lovely bunch of people. I love love that restaurant! It’s beautiful, the serve delicious Swedish food and the service is great. The restaurant was decorated with pretty summer flowers, the Swedish flag and also a traditional may pole(!).  First in came the “snaps” tray haha. I really not a big fan of snaps (a traditional flavoured spirit) but for midsummer I can have one.  My choice: Apple and cumin snaps! Skagen and delicious Swedish bread. Skagen is the one thing I miss from Sweden and I always eat it as soon as I land in Stockholm. I’ve had a hang up for Shrimp Skagen for years haha! Even now typing this I feel like eating it :D  As a main dish I chose cod with tomatoes and a delicious (I think it wsdill sauce. We sat here for at least 4 hours before me continued on to a rooftop bar. If you haven’t been to this place - go! You won’t be disappointed.
