2 DAYS.

This week I'm starting a "new" job! Instead of picking up my usual two girls from school, I now look after a little boy during the day and then he comes with me to pick up the other two :) a nanny-share if you like. So far it's going over all expectations, such a relief! Anyway - Monday was day 1 and started with this lovely breakfast tortilla. Mmmm.  I painted my nails as well, for the first time in... months? Felt super ready to take on this new challenge with my beloved black nails.  At six thirty the day was done and Duncan proposed we celebrate with a trip to the cinema as he also had the night off! We met up at St Lazare, where there was a bit of a party going on!  Food trucks, a cocktail bar, a DJ! D. picked up a calzone and we headed towards our goal of the evening.  A cute little neighbourhood cinema! I'm glad that there are still a few of these scattered around the city, not just the big chains.  This one even had a little library inside. Tres cute.  We saw Blackkklansman, absolutely fascinating. Not exactly uplifting, but 100 percent worth a watch.  Then we wandered home in the crips autumn evening (FINALLY), talking about the movie, enjoying a quiet night in the middle of the city. Here's a blurry pic to demonstrate the loveliness of it all, haha.  Today! Started with! A great breakfast!  After the little ones lunch I put him down for a nap and got comfortable on the couch with my current read: Dan Brown's Origin. The last one of his Robert Langdon books, and the only one I haven't read yet. It's, of course, very exciting.  I've also dug up my old mood ring! I have no idea what any of the colours are supposed to mean (also not convinced that it's telling me what mood I am in, I'm more suspicious to it having to do with body temperature. Anyway.) but I think it's really pretty :) Above is also a sneak peek of my very wonky left index finger that I broke a bunch of years ago... it's all crooked and let's not even get started on the E.T nail! Oh well.  After nap time we picked up the girls in school and hung out for the rest of the afternoon. They're getting on so well together <3 here the oldest one is trying to teach the littlest one how to play the piano. <3 <3 <3  At seven thirty I was home again, with a plate of chanterelle mushroom cream sauce-rigatoni! Guys! It's mushroom & red wine season!!! I'M SO EXCITED. Now it's high time for a shower and some relaxing, tomorrow is a big day with my little gang <3
