3 SUMMER NIGHTS.

After my last post I got myself out of the apartment for a while, always helps a bit. I've watered the family's plants, done some shopping and am now back home, feeling like I've accomplished at least a little bit today. Let's hop back to three beautiful summer nights from last week! It was Thursday when Kat and I (surprise!) met up at La Villette for outdoor cinema again :) Spring Breakers was on the schedule, Kat brought truffle salami, cold coronas and a gorgeous smelling fancy candle for me!! Is she the best or what?!  They have a food truck parked there every cinema night, we normally bring our own stuff but tonight we decided to give the truck a go. Italian burgers were on the menu and they were super tasty!!  The reason to why we didn't bring our usual set up was that we were headed straight for The Moose after the movie, for Nick's birthday! This is the only blurry pic from the night, Nick possibly doing a birthday dance? at late night bar Violon Dingue :) The next day my step counting-app got a rest as we stayed in bed for most of the day.. but it was Friday and Duncan had the night off!!! This NEVER happens so had to be celebrated in some way - no matter how small. We decided that wandering up to our favourite Indian place was just the ticket. Sat down on the terrace and ordered ALL THE COLD DRINKS. :)))  Then proceeded to do our normal trick: order pretty much all the food on the menu. Hehe. It's just so tasty AND cheap. Can't find a website, but here's their fork-page, if you're in Paris and craving Indian food, this is the place to go. It was recommended to us by an Indian man who was sat at the table next to us at another restaurant years ago, he said it was the only place in Paris to get proper Indian street food, he wasn't wrong!  On Saturday we were back at La Villette for one of my favourite movies ever - Mars Attacks! We were more kitted up this time :)  Since it was alien-night we drank blue prosecco :))))  D. was with us too - he now has Friday & Saturday night off which feels like a huge change to both of our lives, yay <3  I had spent the day cooking (in this heat?! Not really sure what I was thinking), we had chicken bites (crusted in parmesan & thyme), 2 kinds of pizza and a dessert of pancakes with homemade raspberry jam. Not too shabby for a picnic I think??  Then the sky turned pink & the massive screen went up <3  And we had a great night! Thank you for this lovely weekend life, or shall I say Kat & Duncan maybe :) <3
