A THURSDAY THAT FELT LIKE A SUNDAY.

On Thursday, before I picked up the kids, D. and I went for a wander. With my new Instagram account going we take our time to investigate every little street in hope of finding something interesting to post :)))  We did have a goal though, Blackburn! I'd read that it was a cool little place with good coffee, so off we went.  Because it was a rainy Thursday afternoon there was just us and the barista there, but I'm sure it gets really busy on weekends. Danish magazines, delicious toasties (we shared a tuna melt with cheddar & avocado, regretted the sharing part and wanted one of my own after a short while..) and absolutely delicious coffee!! D. said it was the best coffee he's had in Paris, and I'm ready to agree.  We were two very happy coffee drinkers.  Cool place, great coffee, really yummy food - apparently brunch on weekends. Hot tip!!  After this little gem we still had a couple of couple of hours before I had to go to work, so we went exploring :)  Ended up in a place where we were treated to an impromptu whiskey tasting :D (I only had the one, work etc) And another place where we tried Portuguese little snacks, here: crab claw. Yum.  And yet another one where Duncan bought be this case for my Kobo :))) makes me happy every time I look at it.  When I came home we had dinner in front of the TV. Halloumi, souvlaki style pork, tsatziki & eggplant in flatbread. SO YUMMY. A great Thursday in life. Now: prepping Sunday roast!! :)
