ALTER BRIDGE @ ELYSÉE MONTMARTRE

Between working & going out it's been pretty much non stop since Duncan came back to Paris last week. I love being busy, but am right now hoping for a short while of calm... nice dinners, movies & series in bed, that kind of thing.  Tuesday night was not that kind of night! Alter Bridge were in Paris and we were of course there with bells on :D Opening were a band called As Lions, the singer is Bruce Dickinsons (Iron Maiden) son! Good voice, good energy, fun gig!  We were there in good time so we got a spot close to the stage, bien sur. They played at Elysee Montmartre, one of the smaller venues in the city, fun to see them in a more intimate setting! To think that they played at a packed O2 Arena in London just under a week before.. O2 has a capacity of 20,000 people, Elysee Montmartre holds just over a thousand, hehe. Airbourne were playing in Paris on the same night ( :( ), one of the photographers was wearing an Airborne-t-shirt, thought that was a bit funny...  They did two acoustic numbers this time around (normally there's just one, or none at festival gigs). Hearing In loving memory live for the first time was special <3 Always a great band to see live! So tight and they always seem so genuinely happy to be playing. And Myles Kennedys voice, I mean.. that guy can sing anything. Amazing. Thanks for a great night <3
