ANOTHER WEEK IN NEVER ENDING JANUARY.

Is it just me or does it feel like January has gone on FOR EVER? Here it's just raining and raining and raining, so dull. Anyway, let's have a look at what this past week has looked like!  One week ago Mr Rory came to stay with us! We did our best to make him feel at home as quickly as possible.  Went well :)))  We've eaten Duncans AMAZING veggie burger. He's been working on this recipe for a while now, he's still tweaking it but I think it's perfect as is. Never thought I'd crave a veggie burger, but he's managed it.  Been stuffing myself with blood oranges as well, I love them. In these cold & depressing months we probably need as many vitamins we can get as well, right?  One day we got a bit of sun!! Had to stop and photograph the sunset to remember this moment. Beautiful ❤ The temperatures have gone up and down, I've stayed on the safe side and bundled up as much as possible. Gone are the days when fashion came before keeping warm, I feel like I've found a happy middle now! Not wearing them here but as soon as I've stepped outside I've worn big purple, fleece gloves. No more cold paws for me!  One day it even snowed!!! Rory was extremely intrigued.  When it snows I go for around 100 layers (michelin man style) plus raincoat 👌 I've listened to a horror podcast called The Magnus Archives, I've only listened to a few episodes but am enjoying it so far. Not sure yet if all the episodes will tie up at some point, or if it's more of a collection of scary short stories. Either way, nice and spooky!  One day I brought my kids over to meet Rory, a super cosy afternoon with some of the people I love the most ❤ Most of this week has centred around this big ball of fluffy love. Impossible to take cute pic of both of us :))))  When it's so crappy outside, it's nice to live in a place that I love so much. Yes it's a bit small and is missing a couple of things (balcony and bath tub!!) but I really can't imagine living anywhere else.  It's been a good food week, the other night I tried a new recipe for pizza - with a halloumi crust! I mixed together grated halloumi, oats and a couple of eggs, pre cooked it in the oven and topped with tomato concentrate, fresh mozzarella and grilled aubergine. Could have pre cooked the crust a bit more (for more crunchiness) but over all it was really yummy!  Hung out at cosy Blackburn one grey afternoon. Love it there.  And the park of course, I've had more walks then ever this week. Rory has been a great personal trainer :)))  We've had vitamin packed breakfasts.  And given the plants a bit of love and care. Can't wait for spring so that they can start thriving again and I can start propagating left, right and centre!!  Every day around ten I've gotten soft little kisses on my cheek and when I open my eyes, this fluffy little face is sitting there, patiently waiting. ❤Now Rory has gone back to his usual home and it's just me and D. again. And guess what? The sun just came out!! Maybe this January isn't that bad after all. ❤
