BOURBON & MAPLESYRUP APPLE CRUMBLE.

Yesterday I - hold on to your hats - baked!!! :O  Loosely followed this recipe, I'd like to add that I normally steer very clear of cooked fruits in any shape or form - but I really enjoyed this!! When I made it, it really was just because we had a bunch of apples at home and I felt like baking something, so I figured at least our home would smell nice and autumn-y and Duncan would get himself a treat. But now I'm looking forward to a  nice warm bowl myself, yay! So when I say loosely followed, as you can see I made a crumble, rather than a pie. Easier, quicker and just as yummy, if not yummier?? Also made my own allspice (just cinnamon, nutmeg & cloves!), used molasses instead of brown sugar, chopped the apple into chunks rather than slices and was a bit heavy handed on the bourbon. Hehe.  Pic from different occasion but was equally happy and surprised when the crumble came out of the oven :)))))  Now we're gonna have a spot of lunch then maybe some crumble for dessert, yay! HAPPY FRIDAY!
