RAMMSTEIN AT LA DEFENSE ARENA.

Towards the end of June the heatwave started to hit, and we had something exciting planned in La Defense.  We waited and waited. They had put up these foil sheets to create some shade, we had fans and a litre of water with us. Still incredibly hot. It was about to get even hotter...  Once inside we sprinted and got to the front! Rammstein time!!!  We stood right by some German guys who had been following the band on tour. One of them had seen them 6 times!  Puppe, a track from their latest album with extremely disturbing lyrics. Read about it here.  Inside of the pram was some sort of demon baby that at one point has thousands of moths (or something of the likes) coming out of its mouth, then to be set completely on fire. Disturbing and SO COOL. They put on such an amazing show, it's super theatrical. Like Mein Teil, when Till Lindemann comes out as "The Butcher". Chills!  Everyone were handed lighters coming in to the show, for Ohne Dich.   At one point they popped up on a smaller stage towards the back.  Then surfed back in plastic boats :)))  And that was it for this time, a truly incredible show. I didn't get many shots of the pyro, there was a LOT of it though. Firethrowers left, right and centre, fireworks going over our heads, instruments going up in flames.  The credits rolled and we started pushing our way out with the other 32000 people...  Made a quick fries & beer-stop on the way to the metro. We figured we would let the most crowded trains leave without us.  Good call, we even got to sit down. With aching feet and cups full of confetti :)Danke Rammstein, you guys are the best in the biz.
