Adjusting status & green card application

So now that we're married the process of changing my so called "status" in the U.S. has begun. Right now I have a work visa, but we have started the application for getting me a green card. That way I/we get more freedom and benefits in this country. The process isn't too complicated, but you definitely need a lawyer to makes sense of all the forms, steps and timelines. Basically this is how it works:1. Submit initial documents showing that we are married and that Anton now (in legal terms) becomes my "sponsor" (instead of my work visa employer). 2. Wait 2-3 months for the work authorization, which allows me to freely work in the U.S. without an actual visa. 3. Get called in for an interview, where we have to show proof of our relationship and how "real" it is. Basically brings photo albums, shared apartment records, credit cards etc. This part feels a bit intimidating, but we have so many photos and documents that I don't think it will be a problem haha. 4. Get "conditional" green card about 1-2 months after the interview.5. Remove "conditional" status after I've had my green card for 2 years.6. And then.... if I want to apply to become a US citizen, I have to have lived in the country for an additional 5 years minimum. So yeah, the goal right now is to get through step 1 and 2. That way I get my work authorization and can get some more freedom with my job situation. The whole U.S. citizen part isn't something that we're even thinking about right now, it's too far in the future. Who knows what happens and where we want to live. Maybe we'll want to move to Sweden in the next 3-5 years.. so we're going to take it day by day.  For the initial application they request 7 (!!) copies of your passport photo. Seems a bit much, but I'm not one to question the USCIS ;)
