WEEK 34.

First update in a while, hold on to your hats cause here comes a PILE of pics! Last week D. was up early and on a mission, came back with coffee for me ❤ Then he helped me live out my inner nerd. I bought these pens (Crayola Supertips, I l-o-v-e them) on amazon a while ago, I've always been a bit of a stationery hoarder but since I started Bullet journal-ing this has taken on new dimensions, hehe. These came slightly out of order in their packet, they had a colour index with names on the back but not on the actual pens. As I'm not the most patient person this was a bit of a challenge, but D. kept his head cool and helped me through.. managed to sort them all out, figure out which was which and label them all, haha! Organisation <3  I recently got an email from UGC (a chain of cinemas), telling me that the points on my card were about to expire, so naturally I had to use them up toute de suite! Got one ticket for free and paid for a second one, felt like a good deal. Warmed up with sandwiches and some reading on the canal.   And a rebel beer at a terrace. As much as I'm looking forward to autumn I have to remember to really enjoy these sunny afternoons outside. We saw Once upon a time.. in Hollywood, which I really enjoyed. My best movie-buff-friend (Hej Bella 👋❤) had warned me that it wasn't the most Tarantino-esque out of his back catalogue, which I do agree with, but yeah, I still liked it. The sets, the fashion. LA. Mmmmm.  The day next we decided on a picnic, instead of just popping down to the canal which is what we normally do, we hopped on the metro and went to Belleville. It's only a couple of stops away from our place, and it's so nice there! Might be an August thing but it was really quiet as well. Lovely.  Marion came with champagne! Must remember to always invite her to picnics 😋 The main plan was to see Kat, who had just come back from Malta! Lucky girl. Tristan came too! He's a chef and has lots of good tips and tricks for those who want to learn (🙋‍♀️).  Raspberry drinks and a view of the city. Pas mal.  After we were kicked out of the closing park (only downside were the not very friendly guards who didn't give anyone ANY notice just suddenly started shouting that we HAD TO LEAVE RIGHT NOW) we stopped to admire the sunset over the city.  We decided that we weren't quite done for the night though, so we sat down at a terrace down the street for a couple of cold ones.  Next night, next terrace! This time on a rooftop.  Generator Hostel by Colonel Fabien, hot tip! They've got really cheap happy hour in the bar downstairs so the best way to do it is to get a couple of drinks there and get the lift up to the rooftop. Beautiful.  Nick was in the area, otherwise I'm not sure if we would have made it far out of the house at all that day, haha..  Love their wallpaper, they have matching poofs too 😍 Back home I decided to bake bread!! I've never actually baked a loaf of bread before, but it was so easy?! I feel like I've been tricked somehow, why have I not always just baked my own? No more sad supermarket-loaf!  Sliced and toasted for breakfast.  With butter, cheese, kaviar (I am Swedish after all), cucumber and egg. MMMM. The feeling of eating something that you've made from scratch is so rewarding as well, and again, SO SIMPLE.  Now I believe we've made it to Sunday, 'cause that's when we usually go to flea markets. This time at Les grands voisins, where we've been before and really enjoyed it.   This time they'd added a rooftop (are you starting to notice a pattern here?), complete with silly sign (ca va toi? : how are you. Toit : roof). We braved it up the stairs, but there was nothing up there?? Felt like such a missed opportunity :(  Then, because we were in the area, we visited an old favourite!  For moules frites!! The best ones are in roquefort sauce, soooo rich, creamy and delicious. Had a couple of happy hour pints and felt like we were about to burst on the RER home.   The night, and the week, ended with lavender infused blueberry gin fizzes in front of a movie! Pretty great way to tie up week 34. This week people are coming back to the city, some are starting work, it's still over 30 degrees hot out though. Might do some work and then see if we can sneak in a swim this afternoon...
