MY SKINCARE RUTINE

Hi you. I will write this post in English so as many as possible understands it (I will put a link to my instagram so that's why!) As most of you know I moved to Paris just after New Years. At the time when I moved my skin had some breakouts mostly in my forehead, however, far from as many as I would get when living in Paris. I am not really sure why my skin reacted as it did to my move, but I believe it has something to do with the high levels of lime in the water (in this case calcium oxide). I have always been very lucky in regards to my skin with breakouts etc, so for me having around teen pimples (large pores) at a time would be quite chocking. We all have different skin types and depending on whether you have oily, dry or normal skin I am not really sure which ones of the products I will recommend suits you - however I thought I would share my thoughts on the products I bought to get ride of all (most of) my breakouts.  Before I bought my products I obviously did a lot of research which I deeply recommend you all to do. There really is a djungel to find the right products and God knows how many times I've googled "best skincare products for acne reviews" the last three months. My best tip is youtube. Youtube seriously have reviews on ALL possible products and what I also love is that you can see their results in a film format.  Kiehls have always been a favourite skincare brand of mine. I honestly can't tell how many years I am been using their "Ultra Facial" serie, both the cleanser and moisturiser. Those two products have been enough for me until a couple of months back when I realised I needed stronger products with ingredients such as AHA and BHA acids and exfoliating products. I won't tell you what all these ingredients does to you cause I'm to be honest still not really sure - but what I know is that they make a huge different in the appearance of the skin. I follow a Swedish account on instagram (@leyglow) which describes everything so clearly and truly makes you understand what products to use for what occasions.  Another brand that I was just recently introduced to turned out to be my second lifesaver after Kielhs. I am talking about the skincare brand SUNDAY RILEY. They have a great range of products so I am sure you'll be able to find products that suits your skin. I will write short reviews on some of the products I've been using this last month, however, I just want to give a shout out to S R's oils. They have an amazing formula and sinks into the skin so easily and makes it feels like you are wearing nothing but still feels hydrated. Their "LUNA sleeping night oil" is one of my personal favourites.  Kielh's Breakout Control Targeted Blemish Sport Treatment. Okay so first out is this little bad guy which unfortunately turned out to be a huge disappointment. As mentioned above we all have different skin types and this was certainly not a product for me. Perhaps it was to strong? What I realised was that my skin preferably preferred to be deep cleansed with the same products all over the face and not with spot treatments. I will give this a try in the future again as it was expensive and I don't want to throw it out. Perhaps I mixed it with the wrong products? Please share your thoughts on this one, I am really curious.  SUNDAY RILEY, GOOD GENES. This product is the one I want to highlight the most in this post. I love this product and it did wonder to my skin. It is an exfoliating serum that you put on after you've cleansed your face either every night or when you feel the need. Exfoliating products is, if I am right, a sort of deep cleansing product that helps to remove dead skin cells and helps to renew the skin faster than the regular process. This fast forwards the process of new "fresh skin" with out breakouts appearing. Ones again I am not a professional so please do your own research before you buy any of these products but this truly was a life saver for me that I still use every evening.  Kiehl's, Calendula Deep Cleaning Foaming Face Wash. I use this product every night and I don't see myself ever not using it again. This cleanser is amazing and does everything I wish for a cleanser do to. It removes make-up, dirt and all the things you do not want on your face. What I also like with this product is that it doesn't make my skin feel dry after using it. I hate cleansers that removes to much, including the natural oils.  Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment. I have never really been an eye cream personal until I started cleansing my face every morning and night. I noticed that the area around my eyes started to get dry because of all the washing, which of course is natural. I therefore started using this eye treatment and it made wonder. I really really recommend this product. I use it every now and then in my night routine to hydrate the eye area. I apply it as the last product to really make sure it sinks in with my facial moisturiser.  Some other general thoughts about the products in the pictures : Pixi Glow Tonic was not a product for me. It really didn't do anything so after a while I stopped using it. Dermatologica multivitamin power recovery masque is amazing for all of you who is in need of hydration and vitamin boosts. Just leave it on for teen minutes and you will literally feel your skin recover and sucking in all the nice vitamins. I think that was it for this post! I hope you liked it and if you have any questions/thoughts don't hesitate to comment below.
