BACK TO CROATIA.

I SUCK at being consistent with this blog, haha! We went to Croatia in August last year, my latest post from the vacation (promising the "next up soon!") was in October - we're now in February 2018! Anyway - better late than never right?? Also might be nice with some sunshine in the midst of winter.... We had just spent a night in Split, which we did NOT enjoy. Way too touristy, neon signs and cheap souvenir shops everywhere. After having spent time in the islands this was the last thing we wanted... so after one night in a rowdy hostel we were on the next ferry out of there! Spotted a ship (boat? where's the limit?) called Karolina, thought of my Carro <3  Soon we spotted the island of Vis! Yay! We'd heard lots of good things about this place Once arrived we hopped on a bus to the other side of the island and the town of Komiza. We didn't have accomodation booked but figured we'd find something (forever the optimists). We talked to a guy in the nearest visitors center who had a cousin/friend/someone who was setting up apartments that weren't quite ready yet, but that we could have a look at if we wanted? Yes please we said. The bedroom had a palm tree sticking in through the window :))) View over the rooftops from the kitchen window. How much for 2 nights? We said and it was sorted :)  Once installed on the top floor we went out to explore Komiza!  First up: nearest spot for lunch! Love that everyone in this photo are smiling. :)  I call this series "hungry Elin". Hehe. THEN we were off exploring!  Found this mysterious place among other things... but more about that later (she hinted mysteriously). The two best ice cream flavours: lemon & really dark chocolate. Pretty much the only ice cream I'll eat, and I guess lemon is technically a sorbet?? Anyway, the best flavours! Our first day in Komiza ended with Duncans amazing blue cheese risotto & outdoor cinema. An amazing day on holiday - wouldn't mind going back right now actually...
