MEXICO A PARIS.

This afternoon our goal was to locate a little shop called La Esquinita. We've been meaning to go for a while now, but you know how it is. Anyway, today we made it! But lo and behold, when we got there, it was very much closed :( We stood outside, peering in for ten minutes or so ("oh look! They have that nice hot sauce!" etc etc etc) until we gave up and walked away.  We walked around the corner, where people were queuing up outside of Rex for the afternoon showing of the latest Avengers movie. One guy was dressed up as Spider man. Looked warm. Looked at Zicatela, a Mexican restaurant that we've both heard great things about.  Checked out the neighbourhood at bit as well. Loved moon street and the accordion shop đŸŒ™â€ On our way home we looked up the street one last time, and this time IT WAS OPEN. YAY.  Wandered back home, happy with our Mexican loot. Walked past this place as well, that boasted Mexican Soul Food. Sounded muy interesante.  Finds! : 2 hot sauces, real corn tortillas & jalapenos. Got some cheap avocados from a street fruit-guy as well, my dinner is sorted :)))  Got a bottle of pulque as well, which is made from the inside from a cactus fruit?? Could be completely wrong, of course. It had a really different flavour that I'd struggle to describe, but with a squeeze of lime and some ice I really quite liked it! Always fun to try something that you've never tasted before.  Might have picked up a little 1€ geranium from the flower shop on the corner as well.. it looked like it was in desperate need of a new loving home :)))) Now I'm gonna get on to pickling some onions for my tortilla dinner tonight, most exciting part of the day 😄
