TOUCHDOWN IN DUBROVNIK!

I'M BACK!  Landed in Paris on Thursday night and have since worked a ten hour day, had dinner and vino with Kat (<3), hung out at The Moose, drunk around 50 cans of Coke Zero. All the good stuff basically. But enough about that, let's get right in to magical, gorgeous, amazing Croatia, shall we??  ---------Stayed at: Pupo RoomsAte at: Lokanda PeskarijaVisited: Old Town, Exit Rock Café---------------- We caught our first glimpse of our home for the coming couple of weeks from the plane. I always make sure to sit by the window on shorter flights, so much world to see.  We hiked up to Pupo Rooms, they had a terrace with a pas mal view. Ice cold beer in the afternoon sun. Hard to beat.  Two slightly pale and out of focus ones. The pale-part would soon change :))  There were a LOT of stairs, lovely for the view - not so lovely when you're lugging around 20ish kilos. Something we would do a lot of...  We made our way in to Old Town, where the hoards of tourists had gathered. Phew.  But I was happy to be in the sun and in my new fab pants.  Managed to sniff out a little rock bar on one of the tiny side streets. Immediately felt at home.  SO. MANY. CATS. Wanted to take them all home. Sat down at a restaurant in the harbor, sat down by the water at dusk. Dusk <3 Ordered a big pot of fish & seafood to share. I was extremely excited about this part of the trip (the eating part).  Suddenly a BUNCH of nuns & priests walked past! Apparently it was Assumption day and they were out chanting & parading. We got right into it and assumed left, right & center.  Felt a bit weird eating while they were walking past as they kept glancing over, but there were just SO MANY OF THEM. Never ending stream of catholics :O After dinner we strolled through Old Town, which was beautiful but very touristy. Was happy that we were moving along to a quiet island the next day.  D. not pictured here but you might not know that he is THE cat whisperer. Cats love him. Children find him fascinating too, I think it's the hair. Finished our first day in Hrvatska with Fakin IPA at the rock bar and an ep of Seinfeld in bed. The next day we were off to our very first Croatian island, teaser: it was drea-my.  --------Now it's time to cook (I'm thinking pasta with parmesan and sage, mmmmmm) and watch a movie. I'm trying to get through a bunch of classics that I haven't seen, might go for Heathers tonight. Fell free (super-free!) to hit me with your best must see classics-tips!
