WALKING IN PARIS.

So if this isn't the first time you read my little blog you may know that I have pretty big sleep issues from time to time. It tends to happen in phases and I try not to stress about it - stress obviously just making it worse. So last night I believe I got a max of 2 hours of snoozing, not ideal as Wednesday is a long day with the kids. The first thought I had when the alarm went off at 9 was "it's sunny, that means I have to walk to work". Then I realised, I don't have to do anything. I'm not going to force myself if I really don't want to. So I'm giving myself an extra half hour at home, plenty of time for me to write this & to eat my breakfast by the actual table and not off the kitchen bench while desperately trying to look more awake with three layers of mascara. Then I'll put on some comfy clothes, fill a thermos with coffee & stroll to the metro.  Yesterday I did walk to work - but because I wanted to, not because I felt like I had to. This is our little street corner.  It was sunny and warm enough to take off my leather jacket after ten minutes of brisk walking. I listen to SO MANY podcasts these days, I'm not sure what I even did with my time before I discovered them?? Right now I'm plowing through S-town, probably about two years after most people. So fascinating!  The fun thing about going on this walk weekly is to see the seasons change, like these massive rose bushes that suddenly popped up for example. Then after a few hours with my beloved little girls I met up with Duncan who had a night off, we had a beer at Johans then got the metro home to watch a bit of TV (Bachelor in Paradise Australia, don't judge, haha!) in bed then try to sleep... which went comme ci comme ca. Oh well. Now all fingers crossed I don't fall asleep somewhere random today ><
