Dairy - The Ugly Truth!

I loved my cheeses! Hard ones, soft ones. On pizza, with pasta, or just on its own. Ice cream! When I was pregnant I could indulge in 2L boxes of different flavoured ice cream, and not think twice about it. But I didn’t have to be pregnant to have my mouth watering for a creamy chocolaty combo. Milk & Cream! I’ve always been like a calf, consuming minimum a litre a day of milk, and adding cream to almost everything I was cooking or baking. To give up dairy was tough for me. Mostly because I used it so frequently on an everyday basis. Even my birthday cake (we’ve made exactly the same cake every year for my whole life, is a full cream dream. With a milk based vanilla custard as a part of the filling.) One of the most difficult things has been to learn how to cook new food for my family, meaning my husband and children. They are not fully vegans yet, not to mention Raw, but since I’m doing most of the cooking I still have big influence in the kitchen. But it’s disheartening when you make them what you think would be an appreciated (vegan) meal, and they don’t like it. But hey, Rome wasn’t built in one day. But why is Dairy Scary? The general public has no idea of the process, of what’s happening before you’re able to enjoy that glass of milk! And what’s actually in it! If you are anything like I used to be, this video can be very useful for you. Viewer discretion is advised.
