Island girl!

You know, Okinawa actually feels like a completely different country than Japan. Even though this island belongs to Japan it feels more like southern asia-kinda thing. I mean, mainland Japan is hectical, crazy with all the weird restaurants, shops and hordes of people. However, on Okinawa the pace is slow, the same kind of slow and careless feeling that you can imagine south american "mañana mañana-people" to have. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, it's cool! What isn't cool is the climate. When the temperature rises over 35 degrees you know you're alive. I mean it's insane, I really hate it. Look, I love the heat I really do, you know when it's like 27-29 degrees and a nice breeze. But here - I go outside my door, I am instantly wet because of the humidity, the heat hits me like a god damn wall and that's everyday life here. I can't believe I am complaining about the heat, but you would to if you were here. Anyway, enough bout the weather. Right now we live in a more central place, close to something called "American Village". Since there's a big American military base on Okinawa, there's a lot of Americans living here, so they built their little village with American restaurants and such. We have only been in American Village one time, it was alright. Before we took a stroll down to the beach, it was really nice. On the way we met this little spider. We've actually seen quite a lot of insects here, like crickets, larvas, weird jellyfishes and nasty spiders. Thankfully, they have all been outside. After our walk to the beach we walked all the way back home. We don't exactly live right by the beach, there's a steady 4 km walk there and another 4 km home. This weekend we're gonna spoil ourselves with dinner at a restaurant. Anywayz, I'll just let you enjoy tons of pics from Okinawa and less talk.. Take care!
