Our trip to Nisyros

Hey! About three weeks ago my boy's godfather had his birthday so he rented a boat and took all of his friends on a trip to Nisyros. Nisyros is a small volcanic island just south of Kos. The main village is Mandraki and there lies the harbor. Nisyros is generally a very nice traditional island with all its narrow roads in the villages. The Godfather had planned all day so when we got to Nisyros, we all went and had coffee. There, we ate a Greek dessert and drank soumada. Soumada is a traditional drink in Nisyros made of almonds. When we had finishes with the coffee break we went and lit a candle in Panagia Spiliani. It is a monastery located on the mountain but the church itself is in a cave (you can see the monastery on the third picture on the right). After that he had hired a bus that took us to the village of Nikia where we saw the volcano above. It was a very cute town with a great view. When we were done with our tour, we went back to the boat. It took us to an even smaller island of Agios Stefanos where we stopped to swim and eat.    It was a fantastic day but because it was so hot that day were all exhausted when you got home. A big thank you my boy's godfather for this perfect day!     the water was perfect   on the boat to Nisyros   Nisyros - Mandraki the view from Panagia Spiliani cactus the village Nikia   the largest vulanco Stefanos those narrow roads Agios Stefanos, the beachwe are family! mum, sis & I <3xx, Veroniki
