The November project 2020, part 11

We kept the hut closed for a few days after that. Not that we had had anything to do with it, but it felt like the morally right thing to do in this situation. Not to mention the economical aspect of it, Vera predicted there would most likely barely be any customers now anyway, since the whole forest was off limits for the public while they were searching for evidence. I tried to focus on school, went to lectures, studied with friends at the library, did anything I could to stay active. I thought it could distract me, but it rather had the opposite effect. Everywhere crimes, cops, drugs, murder, money, weapons, revenge, blackmail. Everything simply led me to what had just happened, right now, for real.    During nights I lay sleepless. Thought bout the commissioner. I wanted to know how he worked, if they had any idea of what could have happened, and why Adam of all people was the victim. What kind of life had he lived? Surely murder doesn’t happen without reason? Was someone after him?    They had found him in the lake. That could of course mean that this wasn’t a case of murder, but of accident, maybe he had tripped on a root and fallen in? Had a heart attack? But why would a man who often went for runs in the forest not know where all the roots are, or have a weak heart… this must be about murder. Oh, if I only knew how he had died! Did he get stabbed? Shot? Smothered? Strangled? Did someone at his job slip something into him right before he left? Had he bought take out on his way between work and run where someone had done the same? What kind of enemies could he possibly have?***Sorry this is cut so short. Last night I was super tired and occupied with other stuff... I do have a clear idea of what's to happen, but I might have to continue with this in December actually. Not sure I'll finish on time. But we'll see!
